With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert William Dyer (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2024 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Frank Dyer and Belva Powell Dyer; his wife Betty Barker Dyer; his granddaughter Angela Cates; and his siblings, Stella Greer, Ruth Griffith, Lillian Meredith, Gaye Fiske and Frank Dyer.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Lynne Dyer of Burlington, Lori Dyer (John Heise) of Haw River and Robert Alan Dyer (Theresa) of Mebane; his grandchildren, Susan Mullis (Greg), Stephanie Allen (Brian), April Stainback (Grant), Jason Cates, Kevin Maness and Robert Durham (Bobby); and his great grandchildren, Nathan, Emmeline and Daxton.
