We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Robert George VanSlyke (Burlington, North Carolina). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Roscoe and Eleanor E. Vanek VanSlyke; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Hall and June Maynard. He is survived by: his wife Carol Zinn VanSlyke; his children, David J. VanSlyke (Shirley) of Salisbury, NC, Diane VanSlyke (George McPheeters) of Hawaii and Darlene VanSlyke (Myron Prevatte) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Heather Marley (Brandon), Samuel VanSlyke (Morgan), Aaron VanSlyke (Tricia), Preston Prevatte and Mackenzi Prevatte; his great grandchildren, Luke Marley, Andrew Marley, James VanSlyke, Annalie VanSlyke and Elijah VanSlyke; and his siblings, Gary VanSlyke (Elida) of Mesa and Janis Arendt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his canine companion.

Memorials may be made to RockHill Baptist Church (Formerly 1st Baptist Church of Alamance), 4363 NC 62 Hwy, Burlington, NC 27215.
