She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Ruffin Roney (Nina Mae Faulkner Roney) and Becki; her siblings, James Roney, Herbert Roney, Betty Lou Cheek and Alene Christopher; and her half-siblings, Curtis, Paul, Ralph, Chesley Roney, Sarah Pickard and Pauline Caudle.

She is survived by: her husband Elbert Harold Jarvis; and her sisters, Virginia Kernodle, Doris Perry (Wayne), Shelby Aldridge, Nancy Whitfield and Ann Boone (James). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Community Church (101 Boone Rd, Burlington, NC 27217). Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
