She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Edward and Mozelle Tillman Harris; her husband Willis "Bill" Dewaine McGowan; her siblings, Peggy Wood and Frank Harris; and her stepgrandchild Charisse Wagner.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Edward McGowan (Stephanie) and Rev. Steven Dewaine McGowan (Sherry); her grandchildren, Dustin McGowan (Jennifer) and Katherine Phillips (Ryan); her stepgrandchildren, Jamie Mariano (Erin) and Candice Shelton (Randy); her great grandchildren, Malakai McGowan, Lilly McGowan, Jamieson Mariano, Kayla Mariano, Sam Shelton, Austin Shelton and Chloe Shelton; and her half-brother David Harris (Teresa).
