As Paul departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Paul. Though Paul may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garlin Thorpe and Geraldine Thorpe. He is survived by: his wife Jean Gant Thorpe; his children, Paul Lamont Gant of Burlington, Felicia Crystal Shaw (Steve) of Burlington, Bonita Massey of Burlington and Christal Jean Gant of Burlington; and his sister Glenda Faye Long (James) of Elon. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blackwell Funeral Home (1292 Rauhut St, Burlington, NC 27217). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Beyond Measure Ministries (904 E Main St, Haw River, NC 27258). Due to COVID-19 and OTHER VIRUSES FACE MASK are advised for services.
