He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Allen and Elsie Pyles Allen; his brother Perry Lee Allen; his nephews, Michael Watlington and Courtney Watlington; and his niece Tracie Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Eric Vaughn (Brandy), Rachel Allen (O'Bryan), Dontae Yarborough (Danita), Kenisha Allen and Tiya Golden; his siblings, Virginia Bradsher, Betty Pettiford, Elsie Allen, April Royster and Walter Allen, Jr. (Virginia); and his close friends, Bobby Alston, Nathaniel Lloyd, Jeff Gant, Paul Jenkins, Shirley and Thomas Deberry. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
