She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynnwood Lewis and McDaniel Lewis; her son Mark Johnson; her husbands, Marshall Johnson and Frederic Beil; and her former husband Walter DeLany.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn and Carter (Ashley); her grandchildren, Winnie (Michael), Lewis (Andrea), Marshall and Liza (Jeremy); and her nephew Mac (Cindy).
