She was predeceased by : her mother Margaret Lay (Hisle); and her in-laws, Dale, Barbara Geise and Alice Geise. She is survived by : her children, Bradley Geise of Burlington, NC, Bryan Geise (Amanda) of Connersville, IN and Bethanie Steele of Burlington, NC.; her grandchildren, Brice, Jennifer, Bryan James, Kaitlyn, James Tyler, Abygail, Lillian, Hayes, Noah, Ellis, Leo and Gunner; her siblings, Alice Schmitt of Kendallville, IN, Marilyn Neal (Phillip) of Centerville, IN, Albert Lay Jr. (Jane) of Cambridge City, IN and Becky Ullery of Kettering, OH; her nieces and nephews, John, Lisa, Jennifer, Phyllis, Patrick, Nikole, Adam, Joshua, Amy Christina, Tim, Donald and Dennis; and also, Mike Geise (Nola) and Kathy Yoder (Ron).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM and at 1:45 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bethel Umc Cemetery (6364 Snow Camp Rd, Snow Camp, NC 27349).
