He was predeceased by: his father Richard M. Sr. (Sarah Irby DeJarnette); and his brothers, Richard M. DeJarnette, Jr. and George A. DeJarnette. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, LeRoy, Jr. (Debbie), Angela Dingler (Jimmy), Tim DeJarnette (Judy), Devon DeJarnette and Jason Perdue (Mary H.); his siblings, Robert C. DeJarnette, Barbara Crews (Donnie) and Debra Wright (B. J.); and his sister-in-law Velma DeJarnette. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clover Bottom Baptist Church (7042 Stage Coach Rd, Nathalie, VA 24577).
