He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ambrose Hopkins and Violet Evelyn Wyatt Hopkins; his siblings, Phyllis Miller and Johnny Hopkins; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Heathcote and Bobby Cox.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hopkins; his son Adam Hopkins (Shaina); his granddaughters, Hayden Freeman and Kendall Hopkins; and his brothers-in-law, Randy Cox and Butch Heathcote. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
