He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Cecil and Elizabeth Tunnel Evans; his wife Kay Parker Evans; his grandson John Michael Martin; and his siblings, Jacqueline Sewell, Nancy Evans and Robert Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Martin (Michael) of Whitsett, NC and James Michael Evans (Robbi) of Chapel Hill, NC.
