It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harvey Clay Hemric Jr. (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Harvey Clay leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, H. Clay Hemric, Sr. (Kennedy) and Debbie Ellis; his wife Nancy; his brothers, Gary (Margaret) of Charlotte and Michael (Patti) of Dallas; his godson Sam Ellis; and his pet Missy. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews, his special friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any charity or cause that feeds your soul or helps others. Those charities especially helpful to Nancy during Clay's illness were the Michael J. “Please accept my condolences! Clay's was a life well lived. He was a skillfull and dedicated Scouting brother who left a deep impression in the lives of many boys whom he served as a Troop leader, as well as admiration by peers! We are looking forward to a great homecoming one day as we all, once again, gather around the fire in Brotherhood. R.I.P. my friend.”
