She was predeceased by: her daughter Sharon Mitchell; her siblings, Wilson Royster (Ophelia), Woodrow Royster (Gertrude), Sylvester Royster (Kay), Elmire Royster, Joe Louis Royster, Dewey Royster, Willie Glenn Royster, Carrie Louise Poole (Frank) and Edna Royster Mitchell (Curtis); and her goddaughter Kirsten Mack.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Ragner (John), Pamela Mitchell and James Mitchell (Lizzie) of Burlington; her adoptive children, Shelby Moore (Winfred), Cynthia Mitchell and Tim Mitchell (Sandy); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Francis Royster and Ruth Royster. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
A wake was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Morgantown Baptist Church (1703 Morgantown Rd, Burlington, NC 27217). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
