With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Bobby Hardie of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint George Bobby leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alton Hardie and Annie Mae Howard Hardie; and his siblings, Randy Scott Hardie and Debra Hardie Felts. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Hardie (Paula) and Randy Hardie (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Ashlyn Nicole Hardie, Lauryn Michelle Hardie, George Casey Hardie and Allysen Jane Hardie; and his siblings, Linda Hardie Perdue and Danny C. Hardie (Leslie).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rich and Thompson Chapel (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
