It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Leon Pike of Burlington, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Connie W. Overman and Georgia Juanita Pike; his wife Decala; and his siblings, Frances "Frankie" Tidmore, Billy Pike and Bobby Pike.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Kay Pike Crawford (Allen), Judy Ann Pike Whitesell (Kendall) and Tracy Lynn Pike; his grandchildren, Alyssa Whaley (Shannon), Ashley Elizabeth Crawford, Alan Whitesell (Christina), Lisa Sturgill (Charles) and Troy Whitesell; his great grandchildren, Becca Barnes, Gabby Barnes, Abby McCann, Kasidy McCann and Nathaniel Robert Sturgill; and his sister Betty Ludovissy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
