She was predeceased by: her parents, Layton "Ed" Walker and Annie Carol Troxler Walker; her brother Edward L. Walker; and her cousin Jame L. Troxler. She is survived by: her husband Chester H. Cheek; her siblings, Anthony G. Walker, Eric C. Walker Sr. (Lesia) and Valerie W. Williams (Chris); her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Upsher (James) of Burlington, Kenneth Lee Cheek of Burlington, NC., Earl Cheek (Michelle) of Burlington, NC., Kari Cheek of Burlington, NC. and Alan D. Cheek (Laura) of Burlington, NC.; her stepdaughters, Chelsea Cheek and Chastity Cheek (Watkins Jordan); her close friend Reno Bennett; and her cousin Charles M. Troxler. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and step grandkids.
A wake will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sharpe Funeral Home (520 Rosenwald St, Burlington, NC 27217). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at the North Lawn Cemetery (947 Ross St, Burlington, NC 27217).
