With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Oakley Mansfield of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on September 23, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lundy Oakley and Viola Kimbro Oakley; her husband Carl Lloyd Mansfield; and her siblings, Clyde Oakley, Tom Oakley, Hubert Oakley, Jake Oakley, Eugene Oakley and Mattie "Pat" Byrd.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Mansfield (Cheryl) of Burlington and Douglas Mansfield (Kate) of Burlington; and her grandsons, Jonathan and Logan Mansfield.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Christian Church, 2030 Carolina Road, Burlington, NC 27217, and/or Camp Springs Community Church, 9168 Cherry Grove Road, Reidsville, NC 27320 or Gentiva Hospice, 2730 Tucker Street #600, Burlington, NC 27217.
