She is survived by: her mother Hazel Andrews Hayes Smith (Lynn) of Taylorsville, NC.; her husband Duffie McKee of Burlington; her children, Mattie Ann McKee of Charlotte, NC and Andrew McKee of Golden, Colorado; her brother Darren Ray Hayes (Lisa); her nieces, Sydney Hayes of Taylorsville, NC and Savannah Yount of Taylorsville, NC; her nephew Anthony McKee of Spartanburg, SC; and her parents-in-law, Jim and Shirley McKee of Myrtle Beach, SC.. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and an abundance of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center, Case Western Reserve University, 2085 Adelbert Road, Room 419, Cleveland, Ohio 44106-490. CJD is a rare disease and all donations are used to find answers to the cause of this fatal disease.
