With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jane Lewis of Burlington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wayrick Lewis and Emma Draughon Lewis. She is survived by: her brother John Lewis (Molly) of Chapel Hill; her nephew Andrew Lewis (Lynn); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson, Ryan Lewis, Baelin, Julian, Wanat, Emma and London Lewis.
