She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Harrell Sharpe; her parents, William Whitney Haynes, Sr. and Frances File Haynes; and her sister Nancy Haynes Frederick. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Sharpe Baker (Mark) of Winston-Salem, Karen Lynne Sharpe of Burlington and David Harrell Sharpe (Lauren) of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Bradley Haynes Baker (Kelly), David Hayden Sharpe and Emily Katherine Martin Sharpe; and also William Whitney Haynes, Jr..

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Macedonia Lutheran Church (421 W Front St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
