With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred Monroe Currie of Burlington, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Currie and George Currie; his grandparents, Jacob, Ruth Currie, Alfred and Bertha Leath; and his siblings, Laurie Currie and Curtis Tinnin.
He is survived by: his wife Terrie Currie; his siblings, Darlene Currie, Sheryl Scoggins (Jerry), Tonya Brown, Shonette Pulliam Pettiford (Barry), Shavonne Pulliam, Eric Currie (Jerilynn) and Lemuel Currie; his aunts and uncles, Shirley Watkins, Alfreda Jeffries, Charlie Leath and George Leath (Audrey); and his great-aunt Mable Tinnin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Blackwell Funeral Home (1292 Rauhut St, Burlington, NC 27217).
