With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katelyn Hope Mathews of Burgaw, North Carolina, born in Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2025 at the age of 23. In the sacred silence of farewell, Katelyn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Greg Mathews and April Andrews Laughter (Ricky); and her siblings, Haley Mathews and Robert Mathews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home (308 W Fremont St, Burgaw, NC 28425).
