She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie D. Cavenaugh and Ruby J. Cavenaugh Adcox; her husband Garnie S. Herring, Jr.; and her son Christopher S. Herring. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Michael Dunn Herring (Beth) of Salisbury and Betsy H. Melton (Perry) of Sneads Ferry; her daughter-in-law Susan Herring; her grandchildren, Jon-Michael Herring (Meagan), Daniel Herring (Katie), Samantha Melton Smith (Jeremey) and Benjamin Melton; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Spencer, Camden, Hayden and Myla Gray. She is also survived by her family and friends.
