She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Ray Bowden and Sallie Williams Bowden; her husband Melvin Wainwright; her daughter Betty Sue Williams (Richard); her brothers, Donald, Jesse Ray and Ronnie Bowden; and her sister-in-law Kay Bowden.
She is survived by: her daughter Virginia Harrington; her grandchildren, Kristi Harrington (Timothy Smith), Jake Barrineau and Annmarie Gregory; her great grandchildren, Kaleb, Ryley, Lainey, Skylar and Kinley; her brother Roger Bowden; her sister-in-law Glenda Bowden; and her close friends, John and Lori Davis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home (308 W Fremont St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Riverview Memorial Park (9332 US-117, Willard, NC 28478).
