She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Festus Eakins and Eunice Watkins Eakins; her niece Jodi Tynch; her children, Melissa Barnhill (Eddie) and Jason Marks (Amanda); her grandchildren, Samuel Marks, Taylor Barnhill, Madeline Marks, Austin Marks, Logan Marks and Makenzie Barnhill; her brother Larry Eakins (Joyce); and her niece Kim Basden. She was also cherished by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home (308 W Fremont St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (19685 US-421, Willard, NC 28478). A burial will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Herrings Family Cemetery (19646 US-421, Willard, NC 28478).
