He was predeceased by: his father AJ Potts Jr.; his sister Channel; his nephew Te'Sean Dorsey; and his grandparents, Pattie Potts Newkirk, AJ Potts Sr., Clare Mae Carr and Rivers Carr Sr..
He is survived by: his mother Carolyn C. Calton; his stepfather Winfred Carlton; his sisters, Evangela Potts-Dove (Tyrone), Kimberly Potts of Wallace, NC, Emily C. Devane (Cassel) and Lil Kim Calton (Curtis); his stepgrandmother Gracie B. Potts of Greensboro, NC; and his aunt Vivian C. Coston.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Nixon Lewis Funeral Home (212 S Smith St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roseville Missionary Baptist Church (2870 Wilmington Hwy, Willard, NC 28478).
