She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Canaday McArtan and James Franklin McArtan, Sr.; her husband Donald J. Byrd, Sr.; and her brother James Franklin McArtan, Jr. (Frank). She is survived by: her children, Jackson (Heather) of Bunnlevel, Donna (John) of Leland and Ricky (Jennifer) of Bunnlevel; her grandchildren, Carson of Bunnlevel, Eli of Bunnlevel, Brantley of Bunnlevel and Emelia Byrd of Bunnlevel; and her siblings, Doug McArtan of Linden, Joyce Harkey (Bob) of Burlington, Helen McDonald of Lillington, Shirley Willoughby of Bunnlevel and Alvin McArtan (Charlotte) of Linden.
