She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Sledge and Mary Ennemoses Sledge; her husband James Norman Lowery (Chief); her brothers, Samuel, George and Asheville Sledge; and her daughter Mary Ann Lowery.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jason Lowery, Jessica McEachern, Jason Mathisen, Taylor Cook, Roy Byrd, George Byrd, James Lowery (Jimmy), Allison Griggs, Dennis Lowery, Joshua Lowery, Dakota Locklear (DJ), Brianna Locklear and Hunter Locklear. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
