It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Odell Surles of Bunnlevel, North Carolina, who passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his friends, Timothy and Patrice Williams; his brother Charles Surles of Erwin, NC; his nieces, Patrice Williams (Timothy) and Timetra Williams; his aunt Kathleen Brassell; his son James F. Smith; his grandchildren, Angela, Freddie, Myesha, D'Andrea and Asinta Smith; and his great grandchildren, DaJohn, Trevone, Taques Williams, Zaryia, Kendarious Smith, Ja'Kaylen McNeill, Jacourious McLean, Dmoni Smith, Freddie Smith Jr. and Anyiah Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, bonus family and friends.
