She was predeceased by: her husband Haywood Penny; and her son Russell Penny, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Trudy Abernathy of Bunn, Rose Hall (Kenneth) of Middlesex and Earl Penny of Selma; and her grandchildren, Jeffery Abernathy, Amanda Whitley, Denise Johnson, Tina Sherrod, Russell Penny, Jr. and Nichole Penny. She is also survived by many foster children; ten great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
