He is survived by: his wife Linda Grooms Garner; his children, Tim Garner, Tammy Boyd (John), Lora Cooke, Jerrie Cooke and Wendy Cooke; his grandchildren, Brandon, Amber, Dymond, Ashley, Adrienne, Brittany, Matthew, Wyatt, Brantley and Jadavion; his stepmother Doris Garner; and his sisters, Sheila Ellington and Frances Benton (Carlton). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
