With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Alps Matthews of Bullock, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice "Ann" Matthews; his children, Herbert "Carl" Matthews and Virginia Ann Link; and his siblings, Herbert Matthews, Jr., Eula Blanks, James "Whacky" Matthews, Robert Lee Matthews and John "Buck" Matthews.

He is survived by: his children, John Matthews (Louisa) of Greensboro, Linda Surratt (Mac) of Oxford, Trina Matthews Ellis of Henderson and Wendy Matthews of Bullock; his sisters, Mary Edwards and Dorothy Little; his grandchildren, Sasha, Mandy, Ashley, Brandy, Laura, Deven, James, Jenny, Lauren-Juliette, Emily, Cheyenne, Demi and Katherine; and his great grandchildren, Kylie, Riley, Masen, Agnes, Amani, Esmae and Zayne.
