With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lillie Blackwell of Bullock, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt Harris Elliott and Myrtle Nora Williams; her son Clifton Blackwell; and her siblings, Lindy Elliott, Marshall Elliott, Rita Yancey and Vernell Sweeny.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Blackwell; her sons, Donald Blackwell (Florence) and Ronald Blackwell; her grandchildren, Daniel Blackwell (Mauricia), Jeffrey Blackwell (LeAnne), Steven Blackwell (Ashley) and Melinda Smith (Alan); and her siblings, Alois Reese, Clinton Elliott and Dallas Elliott (Mary). She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church (9142 Grassy Creek Rd, Bullock, NC 27507). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at the same location.
