He is survived by: his wife Gayle Byrd Stewart; his children, Christopher Wade Stewart of Buies Creek and Natalie Stewart Munz (Christopher) of Coats; his grandchildren, Alex Munz and Nate Munz; his nieces, Heather Stewart-Johnston, Meredith Ashley, Katherine Hemminger and Casey Zarian; and his nephew Jason Brown.
