She is survived by: her son David D. Melvin; her grandchildren, Phillip John Melvin (Ariel), Jeremy Buck Melvin, Jacob Daniel Melvin (Anna), Kaitlyn June Melvin, Jackie Carter and Tommy Carter; her great grandchildren, Noah, Amelia, Layla, Michael and Lilah; her daughter-in-law Kathryn Melvin; her sisters, Barbara Brown and Carolyn King; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Johnson and Maurice King. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
