He is survived by: his wife Frances Alice Ann McIlroy; his children, William Brian McQuade (John Baldwin) of Bryson City, NC and Shonagh McQuade Weems (Edward Weems) of Buies Creek; his grandchildren, Jonathan Brian McQuade, Maria Louise McQuade, Thomas William McQuade, Brandon James Hillegass, Meredith Ashley Hillegass, Erika Shonagh Hillegass, Austin Mitchell McQuade Weems, Megan Johnson and Gabe Hillegass; his great grandchild Robert William McQuade; and his sister Margaret Shaw. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
