He was predeceased by: his parent Mell Merritt. He is survived by: his parent Roberta Maney Moon; his wife Faye Moon; his children, Misty Johnson (Hrair) of Cherokee and Whitley Smith (Justin) of Bryson City; his granddaughters, Kaylee Smith and Mika Johnson; and his siblings, Don Moon (Sheila) of Bryson City, Janice Moon of Toccoa, GA, Randy Moon (Maria) of Texas, Pam Cunningham (Tommy) of Bryson City and Richard Moon (Leann) of Hendersonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
