She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Jenkins and Lois Hall Jenkins; and her sister Judith Simpson. She is survived by: her husband Alex Kirkland; her children, Brenda Nations, April Nations, Kevin Nations and Shawn Kirkland; and her siblings, Johnny Jenkins and Lisa Simpson. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crisp Funeral Home (669 US-19, Bryson City, NC 28713). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
