He is survived by: his parent Marie Reep Shultz Byers; his wife Hazel Jones Shultz; his children, Scarlet Casey (Mark) of Lincolnton, Audrey Peticos (Shawn) of Ellenboro, NC, Randy Houser (Tammy) of Bryson City and Beth McGaha of Bryson City; his grandchildren, Samantha, Caitlyn, Shawn Michael, Sammy, Travis, David, Dylan Richard, Timothy and Tristan; and his siblings, Edna Spencer, Reba Buff, Rita Rhyne, Vivian Taylor, Dwight Shultz and Keith Byers. He is also survived by dad, step-dad, and granddad.
