He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee Bailey and Mae Oliver Bailey; his brother Bill Bailey; and his wife Patrica Wood Bailey. He is survived by: his son Jeremy Daniel Bailey of Bryson City; his sister Judy Eastridge of Sylva, NC; his nephews, Tiny Smith of Sylva, NC, Wayne Smith of Sylva, NC and Lane Bailey of Salisbury, NC; his siblings-in-law, Michael Wood of Midland, NC, Rev. Sam Wood of Monroe, NC, Dawn Barker of Bryson City, NC, Debra Wallick of Beaufort, SC and Melody Pitts of Hickory, NC; and his friend Bruce Bachman of Flagler Beach, FL.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Crisp Funeral Home (669 US-19, Bryson City, NC 28713). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
His memory will live on through the love he shared with family and friends, in lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Robert Bailey to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
