It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Warburton Matthes (Bryson City, North Carolina), who passed away on October 5, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Matthes and Edith Croft Matthes; his brother Carl; his brother-in-law Glen Alderman; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Vi Matthes.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen (Lisa) and David (Kim); his son-in-law Jeremy Dinsmore; his wife Sheila; his daughter Vicki Dinsmore (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Alex, Emily (Dakota), Chase (Leslie), Jared, Samantha and Andrea; his sister Barbara Alderman; his nieces and nephews, Tim, Todd, Joni, Jennifer and Courtney; his brothers-in-law, Dale and Paul Matthes; and his close friends, Mario Augustin, Ken Stewart and Hezekiah Delapp.
Due to the Covid. 19 pandemic there will be no service at this time.
