He was predeceased by: his parents, Cargus Amburn and Ella Mae White Amburn; and his siblings, Ruth Lowe, Louise Amburn, Edna Jenkins, Jack Amburn and Bobby Amburn.

He is survived by: his sister Willa Lowe of Bryson City. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
