He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd George Brown and Kirby Ray Brown; his siblings, Leroy Brown, Donna Lewis and Naomi Brown Burton; and his great grandchild Augustus Lee Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Diane McElreath Brown; his sons, Hugh Ryan Brown of Melbourne, FL, William Anthony Brown (Michelle) of Bryson City, Jonathan Michael Brown (Kelly) of Bryson City, Robert Thorpe Brown (Tavish) of Bryson City and Daniel Shane Brown (Pam) of Canton; and his brother Larry Dean Brown of Clover, SC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
