It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda Keener of Bryson City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne W. Keener; her parents, Ralph Williams Southards and Edith Ellen Waldroup Southards; her brother Buddy Southards; and her great grandchild Ridge.

She is survived by: her son Michael Keener of Bryson City; her grandchildren, Johnny Woodard and Miranda Nations; her great grandchildren, Oakland, Kamden, Ryder and Rowdy; her siblings, Wanda Barker of Whittier and Larry Southards of Cumming, GA; her niece Ashley Barker; and her great-nieces, Shelby Kirkland, Ceana Barker and Atlas Barker. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“To all the family: Our hearts are so broken to hear that Ms. Linda has passed. Our family has will always love Ms. Linda due to a long time ago we were in Bryson City and my dad go sick and we had to admit him to the hospital up there and Llinda took care as his nurse. Linda and the hospital took care of us all while we were there in Bryson City. She stayed in touch with us until now. She was a fine lady. Her phone calls to my mom will be missed. Rest in peace my Sweet Ms. Linda. We love you.”
