He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry DeHart and Lavinia Greene DeHart; his wife Mary Elizabeth DeHart; and his grandson Christopher Kit. He is survived by: his children, Amy Hampton, Marykit DeHart and Claire Ann DeHart; his grandchildren, Adrian Hampton, Matthew Garrett and David Miller; and his siblings, Sundi Gibson, Elmo DeHart and Wyatt DeHart.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crisp Funeral Home (669 US-19, Bryson City, NC 28713).
