He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Edwards and Naomi Carson Edwards; and his sisters, Willma Edwards, Louise Stephenson Willis and Yvonne Gregory.
He is survived by: his wife Reva Edwards; his children, Karen Edwards (Jeff Smith) and Mark Edwards (Greta); his grandchildren, Jamie Edwards, Gracie Edwards and Rylee Anna Rawls; and his siblings, Joan Gillette of Bryson City, John Edwards (Jerrie) of Louisiana and Earl Edwards (Cathy) of Louisiana. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
