He was predeceased by: his mothers, Nancy Ollie Smiley Shuler and Barbara Shuler; his daughter Sherry Shuler Watson; and his brothers, Johnny Shuler and Melvin Shuler.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Shetley (Steve) of Candler, NC and Perry Shuler (Diane) of Whittier; his son-in-law Bill Watson of Lugoff, SC; and his grandchildren, Tim, Jason, Matthew, Tisha, Shalina, Chelise, Tyler, Zach, Mary Beth, Megan and David. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church at P.O. Box 597 Bryson City, NC 28713.
