It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas MacAuther Cochran of Bryson City, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Cochran and Lottie Brendle Cochran; his siblings, George, Cecil, Clifford "Sonny", Virgil, Sammy, Leland, Hettie Ingle, Fanny Burr Cochran, Teenie Ducket and Ann Nobles; his grandson Justin Cochran; and his son-in-law Michael Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery "Jeff" Cochran (Donna) of Stecoah, NC, Debbie DeHart (Roger) of Murphy, NC, Beth Cochran Gibson (Charlie Watson) of Bryson City and Randy Cochran of Bryson City; his grandchildren, Haley Aldridge (Jesse), Heather Griffin (John), Sarah Minuto (Sean), Randy Tyler Cochran and Joshua Adam Cochran; his great grandchild Zane Griffin; and the mother of his children Helen Woodard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
