He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sutton and Jo Ann Ball Sutton. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Sutton; his children, Brandon Sutton (Amanda), Daniel Sutton, Brandi Sutton (Brett) and Dana Sutton (Andy); his granddaughters, Sarabeth, Abbygail, Dalila and Dalanee Sutton; and his grandparent Karver Plemmons.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swain County East Elementary School Cafeteria Needy Child Fund at 4747 Ela Rd. Bryson City, NC 28713.
