It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aleen Winchester of Bryson City, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Aleen had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Aleen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hanson Ammons and Selma Ammons; her husband Joe Winchester; and her siblings, Odell Ammons and Verda (L. E. Angel).
She is survived by: her sons, Lionel Winchester of Chapel Hill and Eddie (Susie Winchester) of Bryson City; and her grandchildren, Joseph Winchester of Bryson City and Kirsten Winchester of Fletcher.
